Calculus.school generates a short arithmetic test from the settings chosen before it starts. There is no fixed worksheet to work through: the questions are produced when the test begins.
1. Choose what to practise
Pick an exercise type — Integers, Fractions or Decimals. Each one keeps its own settings, so different skills can be configured differently.
2. Configure the test
Select a single arithmetic operation or mix all four at random. Set how the operands are formed, choose between 1 and 15 questions, and set a time limit in minutes and seconds.
Choose how answers are given: typed on an on-screen keypad, or selected from multiple options, in which case the number of options is configurable too.
3. Practise
The test is generated from those settings and played against the clock. Because generation happens at the start of each session, running the same configuration again produces a fresh set of questions.
4. Review the results
At the end of a test Calculus shows how many answers were correct. Registered users also keep their results, so progress can be reviewed later from the statistics page.
5. Challenges, for registered users
A registered user can create a challenge and share it, or join a challenge created by someone else. Challenges are how one configuration gets played by more than one person.
